The PG Capital Renaissance Fund is conceived as a closed-ended investment fund to make investments in:
Equity or equity-linked instruments of companies that are perceived to be undervalued or in distress due to poor management and can be exchanged for a handsome value post-restructuring.
Debt notes of financial institutions by purchasing them at a handsome discount to take advantage of the financial sector’s need to exchange value for liquidity, especially in dollar-earning financial assets.
The rapid development in the Nigerian economy provides unique opportunities for investments in special situations where companies cannot adapt to sudden changes in fiscal and monetary conditions. These changes require a high level of adaptability by institutions, especially banks and other financial institutions, to ensure that the value of the enterprise is sustained. The PG Capital Renaissance Fund seeks to invest in these peculiar situations and ensure that the opportunities presented result in value creation and guarantee high returns to the Fund.

The Fund operates as an absolute return fund with specific return targets and will work closely with other financial institutions to identify businesses that can be exchanged for a handsome value post-restructuring. The Fund is denominated in US Dollars (US$) and capitalized with the US Dollar equivalent of N1 billion.
